Windy Point Luau Dive & Social - Updated!

WINDY POINT LUAU 2018

Join the Scuba Diving and Water Sport community in kicking off the Lake Travis water season! This is a great opportunity to get out and socialize with a new set of divers. Not to mention gain a whole new group of dive buddies. And get a few dives in as well.

Be prepared for a full day of activities. Once you arrive;

  • You'll get an arm band which will get you access to the venue
  • Provide you with a valuable raffle ticket
  • Access to the food (Teriyaki chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, etc.)
  • Plenty of fluids to keep you hydrated
  • Enjoy the show (Guitar player and Hula dancers)
  • Access to many games on shore, and underwater. There will be great prizes for these games!
  • Grand prize is a a trip on a Black Beards live aboard dive cruise!
  • And more!
Tentative Schedule of Events!
  • 8:00 AM – 11:30 – Set up for Vendors/Partners/Sponsors
  • 12:00 PM – Check in Starts for Participants
    • Check in will consist of: Checking Certification cards, Handing in/completing Liability Forms, getting wrist bands, getting free raffle ticket, receiving schedule of events, and for those who pre-registered their T-Shirts.
  • There are at this time, two all day events that can be participated in at ANY time:
    1. Underwater Riddle Scavenger Hunt – Sponsored by Dive Shop San Marcus
    2. Spearing Invasives! – Sponsored by Dive Shop San Marcus
  • 1:00 PM – Texas Holdem Poker Tournament ( Sponsored by Tom’s Dive and Swim - Water)
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Food is served
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM -Colin Boutwell (guitarist/vocalist) will be performing
  • 2:00 PM – Hula Dancers
  • 2:45 PM – Limbo Contest ( Sponsored by Dive World Austin – Water)
  • 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM -Colin Boutwell (guitarist/vocalist) will be performing
  • 3:30 PM – Flip Flop Flippin' (Sponsored by Tom’s Dive and Swim – Land)
  • 4:30 PM – Dive Buddy Relay ( Sponsored by Dive World Austin - Land)
  • 5:00 PM - Until 5:30 – Awards/Raffle Drawings
  • 6:00 PM – Pack up and go home happy!

Below is the Pre-Admission fees (there is a small administration fee). Prices will be noticeably higher when purchased at the door.

Other Known Fees: $45 Pre-Admission + Event T-Shirt

$30 Pre-Admission (no t-shirt)

$15 Childrens Admission

  • The Little Luau area (designated area filled with kiddie pool, games, etc) will be available throughout the entire event, this area is UNMANNED with no lifeguard on duty.
  • T-shirts will be for sale as well as other vendor items at the Luau

All registration is done via the above web site. The Austin Aquanauts are not organizing admissions.
